Descripció:

The Computational Physics & Biofluid Mechanics laboratory, part of the GReCEF research group at EEBE-UPC, is generally interested in the development of mathematical models and computational tools, both physics-based and data-driven, and in their application to study complex phenomena in various engineering and biological systems. We offer several TFG/TFM projects focused on, e.g., development/application of advanced numerical methods and/or data-driven algorithms, cardiovascular biomechanics, medical imaging, aerodynamics of insects/birds, microplastics pollution, and biofilm growth. The specific topic and objective of the project will be fine-tuned based on an interview with the candidate. While previous knowledge in biology or medicine is not required, many of the proposed projects are highly inter-disciplinary and conducted in collaboration with an international network of universities, research centers, or hospitals.
