This seminar will present recent research on the development of sustainable porous materials derived from biomass, with a focus on processing strategies that combine scalability and circularity.
Examples from competitive research projects such as BioRESorb (Swedish National Research Funding) and PorBIOsorb (EU/M-era.Net) will illustrate how bio-based polymers and industrial side-streams can be transformed into functional porous materials for environmental and resource-efficient applications.
The talk will highlight opportunities at the interface of polymer science, circular materials design, and sustainable processing.
The seminar will be organized by CCEM-UPC and all EEBE communities are invited.

Aquest seminari presentarà investigacions recents sobre el desenvolupament de materials porosos sostenibles derivats de la biomassa, amb un enfocament en estratègies de processament que combinen escalabilitat i circularitat.
Exemples de projectes de recerca competitius com BioREsorb (Finançament Nacional de Recerca Suec) i PorBIOsorb (EU/M-era.Net) il·lustraran com els polímers biològics i els fluxos secundaris industrials es poden transformar en materials porosos funcionals per a aplicacions ambientals i eficients en l'ús dels recursos.
La xerrada destacarà les oportunitats a la interfície de la ciència dels polímers, el disseny de materials circulars i el processament sostenible.
El seminari serà organitzat pel CCEM-UPC i totes les comunitats EEBE hi estan convidades.
