Take the second year of the master's degree at the host institution.

1. A total of 30 ECTS credits in the first semester: A to Z of taught courses
2. In the second semester you work on your master's thesis in English under the supervision of a Cranfield tutor and following the regulations of the two institutions. In accordance with the academic regulations of the EEBE, you must deposit and defend your master's thesis at the EEBE within the established periods.

• Master's degree in Interdisciplinary and Innovative Engineering: master's thesis 30 ECTS credits.
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering - Smart Chemical Factories: master's thesis 24 ECTS credits.
• Master's degree in Materials Science and Advanced Materials Engineering: master's thesis 18 ECTS credits.

Teaching programme

Group project
You will have the opportunity to tackle a real-world problem. Understanding how your part of the project affects the whole is a great learning opportunity, and this project gives our graduates a head start. (Not included in Defence and Security, some courses in the School of Management and several other programmes.)

Individual thesis
An opportunity to think and work in an original way. It can consist of working on a project for a business partner, delving deeper into an area of specific interest or tackling a real-world challenge in the sector you want to work in.
